For nature lovers and sightseers, there is much to see and do in Zillertal. If you want to leave your car behind, the nostalgic Zillertalbahn railway will take you from Mayrhofen to Jenbach and back again. This train journey consists of a total of 80 km, on which there is plenty to see and experience. If you want, you can even play the role of train driver for a bit. With the Nostalgia Ticket, you can continue on for free, and with the Achenseebahn steam train and Achensee boats, children up to 15 yrs. old ride for free in the company of their parents.
Rattenberg
Tyrol's smallest and also oldest town is Rattenberg. This small town on the Inn river is characterized by glass manufacturing businesses, which have a long tradition there. Today's handcraft museum is in the famous nailers' houses, which had already been built as of 1148.
